Last night our hosts took us to the Outback Steakhouse in Seoul for our final dinner together. Steak and salad and baked sweet potato and lots of conversation – because, thank God, we can carry on a conversation despite repeated attempts to clarify even within one sentence. When we stepped outside the restaurant while waiting for some to visit rest rooms, I looked at the sign above the door. Typical of many Korean business establishments, the name of the proprietor was above the door. It dawned on me that a bunch of folks from the USA had dinner at an “Australian” restaurant run by a Korean. Now, you tell me…why not world peace?
We ask for your prayers as we re-enter that giant metal tube today to fly back across the world and your patience as we re-acclimate ourselves to our own culture and the severe time change. We’ll bring you photos and stories in the Parish Hall sometime soon and lots of good will from our Korean partners.
God bless us, everyone.
